We are pleased to invite you to an evening with Ukrainian poet Yurii Zavadskyi on June 27 in Berlin at Raum de Poesi. During the event, the author will present his poems translated into German and speak about contemporary Ukrainian literature in the conditions of war.
The program will include poetry readings, a conversation about the role of literature during times of social and historical crisis, and a discussion of the current cultural situation in Ukraine. The audience will have an opportunity to engage directly with the poet and learn more about modern Ukrainian literary processes and artistic resistance.

Yurii Zavadskyi is a contemporary Ukrainian poet, literary scholar, translator, and cultural organizer whose work combines experimental poetics with philosophical and cultural reflection. He is known for his active participation in the modern Ukrainian literary scene and for his engagement with international cultural dialogue. His poetry explores themes of memory, identity, urban experience, language, war, and the fragile relationship between personal and collective history.
